I am particularly interested in investigating the potential impact that changes in global climate will have on the cycling of environmental pollutants between the atmosphere and the soil. My research is part of the SPRUCE project (Spruce and Peatland Responses Under Climactic and Environmental change) and I am currently analyzing soil and pore water samples using multiple spectroscopic techniques to look at the effect of elevated temperature and atmospheric CO2 on the co-cycling of sulfur and mercury.
