I am a graduate research assistant interested in soil and water resources, especially wetlands. Previous research experience has included work and independent study in a nutrient management lab.
Taking part in the Spruce and Peatland Responses Under Climatic and Environmental Change (SPRUCE) Project. Using PLFA analysis to characterize the microbial community and isotopic C13 data to investigate the microbial carbon cycling within these peatland systems.
Posters presented at 2015 Soil Science Society of America Conference:
- 13CPLFA Analysis of the Microbial Community Composition within Peat Depth Profiles in Response to Seasonal Changes and Warming (Authors: Cameron Blake & Jessica Gutknecht)
- Is Biosolids Incinerator Ash a Safe and Effective Phosphate Fertilizer? (Authors: James E. Crants, Carl J. Rosen, Cameron Blake, and Matthew McNearney)
