Introduction
I am from Ann Arbor, Michigan, but spent four years as an United States Army Ranger. During my service I was stationed at Fort Lewis WA, and deployed twice to Afghanistan with 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. After the military, I enrolled at the University of Minnesota to pursue my passion for the environment. I joined the Soil Judging Team and developed a strong interest in soil pedology. I eventually became the Captain of the Soil Judging Team and I am now the assistant coach.
Research
My research focuses on how hill slope position affects soil morphology and hydrology. I am working with NRCS Soil Scientists to collect and analyze data collected at hill slope positions throughout Minnesota.
