My research focuses on understanding the interplay between agricultural systems and the atmosphere. Specifically, I am working to understand how the emission of nitrous oxide and ammonia from soil influence our climate, and in turn, impact crops. My work takes place in a greenhouse where we are able to measure the entire ecosystem and experiment with various climate and field conditions. I aim to increase the understanding of our effect, as humans, on global systems in order to better inform our actions for the future.
