High tunnels, seasonal covered structures, extend the growing season in cold climates, but keeping the soil healthy in these productive areas can be a challenge. UMN researchers including Profs. Carl Rosen, Julie Grossman, and Mary Rogers explored winter cover crops as a tool to improve soil health and increase nutrients under high tunnels. Read the recent publication in HortScience.
