Mulvehill-MacGregor Undergraduate Scholarship in Soil Science

The Department of Soil, Water, and Climate is seeking applications for scholarships for UMN undergraduate students with a demonstrated interest in soil science. Awards are $500 to $1,000, and the number of awards depends on the amount of funding available.

Seniors are eligible to apply as long as they have not graduated by the time applications are due.

About the Scholarship

The Mulvehill-MacGregor Undergraduate Scholarship in Soil Science is named for the donor, John F. Mulvehill, a former student in the Department of Soil, Water, and Climate (then called the Department of Soils), and John M. MacGregor, Mulvehill’s professor and mentor. The scholarship was created to encourage students to pursue studies in soil science.

NOTE:  The scholarship will be awarded to the selected student’s (accounts receivable) account. If you have a student loan, it may be used to pay off that loan. If you have no loans and only scholarships, the scholarship may reduce your scholarships from other sources. If you don’t have loans or scholarships, it will be deposited in your account.
